Future17 is a new global initiative between the University of Exeter, QS and leading international universities designed to support students to develop the skills needed to collaboratively tackle 21^st Century global challenges thorough working with professionals to create pathways for innovative solutions to real-world issues associated with one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Future 17 enables students to collaborate with learners from a consortium of global partner universities in international, interdisciplinary and multicultural teams to tackle challenges through projects defined by third-party organisations (businesses, charities, NGOs etc.).

Lestari developed a comprehensive induction course for the Future17 programme, created mentor guidebooks and provided ongoing project management support to the Future17 team.

The University of Exeter ran a pilot of Future 17 in 2022 with a small number of projects in order to test the programme structure, induction material and student demand, and published the research in the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education  – read our published research paper here.
