Current Projects

Three Rivers: Exploring communities’ connectedness to nature

In collaboration with The National Trust, Lestari embarked on a project aimed at developing a comprehensive understanding of nature connectedness among the communities surrounding the Killerton Estate in South Devon.

Outdoor Learning in Worcestershire’s Primary Schools

We worked with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust to understand current outdoor learning provision within primary schools across Worcestershire.  We provided a set of recommendations to enhance these efforts in line with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s (WWT) strategic goals for 2023-2030.

While We Still Can

A supported space for young people to explore, own and evaluate self-initiated and creative responses to the current ecological and climate emergencies. 

Art and Agency

With the University of Exeter and Art and Energy, we worked in partnership with a group of creative practitioners, to explore arts based responses to eco-anxiety. 

Campaign for National Parks: Health Check Reporting / GIS Mapping and Analysis

We provided expert mapping and data analysis to support the Campaign for National Parks Health Check report of protected landscapes, including water quality, peat depth and health, protected area condition and landuse.

Exploring Social and Cultural Values of Trees Outside of Woodland

Lestari worked with Forest Research to explore the range of cultural and social values of Trees Outside of Woodland through the lens of the arts and humanities.

Ernest Cook Trust: Outdoor Weeks of Learning Storytelling Evaluation

Co-designing robust and applicable qualitative evaluation approaches for use during residential outdoor learning programmes.

Planetary Community Engagement Plan

Lestari worked with Planetary Technologies to develop a community engagement plan at the Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement research trial site at St Ives, Cornwall. 

GW4 Changing Landscape Values 

A GW4 consortium project aimed at creating new ways to understand landscape change through historical and anticipatory perspectives. 

Project Vesta: Social Science Framework

Supporting an innovative coastal carbon capture project with social science methods and best practice.

Future 17 International Module

Developing learning resources to support an international initiative to bring HE students together using deisgn thinking.

Education at a Time of Emergency

A new ESRC funded partnership bringing together regional and national environmental education organisations to explore how best to update education responses to the climate and ecological emergency.

Discovery Sessions for Higher Education
